African Discovery Through Music

More than a decade ago, Wincey Terry organized Winceyco, an entertainment group dedicated to providingtop quality entertainment at an affordable price. Since 1988, Winceyco has been educating people of all ages in schools and churches throughout the state of New Jersey. The staff of professional entertainers and educators work very closely with consultants (classroom teachers, engineers, school psychologists, medical professionals, ministers, etc.) to fulfill a commitment to impact the community with a series of musical assemblies that use rhythm to educate while entertaining.

People are a direct reflection of their teachings. In order to be a proud, strong people with a positive future, we must first learn of our glorious black heritage. A perfect balance of music, (from the Negro Spiritual and Contemporary Gospel to today's Rhythm & Blues and Rap) has been tastefully edited and combined with historical facts about our great black leaders, scientists and their inventions and discoveries.

This careful compilation is presented by professional entertainers through live performance in the form of a one person (or more depending on the specific needs of your facility) concert/show to educate your group, school or church. Troupes are also available and consist of groups of performers who lead their audience in a journey through time by portraying African American influences with dance, song, musical instruments, inventions, etc.

The "Call & Response" method is a familiar technique used in the ADTM Program. It allows your group to important historical facts by singing them to familiar tunes.

ADTM also encourages "Positive Interpretation" where your group is encouraged to cite familiar tunes and present a positive and related interpretation of the song.

We can customize any ADTM program to fit your organization's needs and present it to your group of any size at a time, price and location that is convenient for you.

This program which is suitable for any time of year, has always proven to be a special treat during February (Black History Month), March (Music In Our Schools and Women's History Month) and June (Black Music Month). This program is an enormous success in Central and Southern New Jersey School Districts and is now being offered in your area.
